The Cold War kept the USSR's interests in camouflage active with a number of developments in pattern during the eighties and nineties. During the late nineties and into the 21st century pattern developments seems to have been heavily influenced by a number of different sources mostly European(German, British, NATO, etc) and Vietnam period American camouflage and more recently American developments into digital patterns.
